CMI Authority Safety Services

CMI provides complete services for the successful implementation of CMI Authority Safety Products. CMI will assign an “A” team to work with your agency that includes software developers, programmers, a project manager, a technical support representative and customer support representatives. There are four components to our implementation plan:

  Project Management

With any technical project, it is important to set the right expectations for everyone that will be involved in your new CMI Authority Safety implementation. CMI has included project management services which begin on day one with a client kick off meeting. A custom project plan is developed for your agency and becomes our guide to lead us all the way through to project completion.

  Conversion

If you are an existing CMI customer, complete data conversion from your CMI legacy system is included with the installation services in your proposal. CMI may also provide data conversion from other third party systems at your request. Any data conversion services that are included from a third party data source will be documented in your proposal as a separate line item. If you desire data conversion that is not itemized in your proposal, let your CMI Representative know and a custom conversion quote will be provided for you. In most cases, electronic conversion will also require some manual work on your part to verify the quality of the converted data. There may also be cases where the customer will want to take this opportunity to “clean up” their data files.

  Training

In any Public Safety organization, preparation is key to your success. CMI will create a training plan that will be flexible and complete in order to meet the needs of your agency. CMI training includes hands-on training whether you use our software in-car, on-station, or in dispatch. Where required, the training will be supplemented with complete documentation and instruction videos. Our goal is to ensure that your training plan takes into consideration your shift schedules, your staffing levels and your time schedule.

  Installation

CMI installation services are the glue that brings all of the implementation components together. CMI will install the software in accordance with your standard operating procedures, your chain of command and your agency’s business rules. The CMI Customer Support Representative will work with you on and off-site to customize the software for your use.
